This Audemars Piguet wristwatch is atypical of what the world have come to identify the brand as the Royal Oak DNA became definitive of AP watches in contemporary times. This unique piece features a tonneau-shaped stainless steel case of 33.5mm with satin-brushed finishing. The silvered dial is complemented by applied silver baton markers and silvered needle hands and centre seconds. Signed Audemars Piguet in the typeface of that era, this piece is a gem that trully reflected design philosophy in an era where minimalist, “Calatrava” style timepieces were dominant in the market. The stainless steel case houses the manual-winding Caliber 2001.
