Ref.1518J 1st Series 1 MILE Tachometer Perpetual Calendar Chronograph in Yellow Gold
Extremely Rare Vintage Patek Philippe Ref.1518J 1st Series 1 MILE Tachometer Perpetual Calendar Chronograph in Yellow Gold from 1945
This is a first series and chronologically not even the 60th yellow gold ref. 1518 ever manufactured from which less than 35 were identified back into the market, from those, less than half with MILE dial (American market).
The caliber 13 130 Q looks exactly like a calibre 13 130, seen from the back as all the perpetual calendar device is under the dial; it beats with 18'000 oscillations, allows the 5th of the second reading; this one has a micrometric precision adjustments (swan neck) and a cut bi-metallic balance.
This case was made by Emile Vichet, Geneva master case-maker key number 9. Case-back marked in its inside with the maker's signature, serial numbers, gold marks and Swiss (Geneva) hallmarks. Solid gold date correctors, chronograph pushers and winding crown.
Engraved-enamelled signature, peripheral minute & 5th of the second scales, date of the month around the moon-phases, English dates on the calendar disks and "champlevé" blue enamel gold moon-phase wheel.
