Ref.1589J Oversize Calatrava "Attached Lugs" 2nd Series in Yellow Gold

Patek Philippe produced the reference 1589 from 1944 until 1953 in yellow gold or in pink gold. On about 85 pink gold were made, 10 came back into market(updated on 12/2021). Some distinctive features for this model are the oversized 36mm case with attached lugs. The cases for this reference were made by Antoine Gerlach and the dials were made by Stern Freres. This reference was made in two series: the first bear the caliber 12-40, like the present example, and the second have the 12-400. Oversized Patek Philippe Calatravas are in demand by collectors and to find one with the original certificate of origin is becoming more difficult.
