The Speedmaster Professional here is a descendent of the first watch to be worn to the moon and was given the title as ‘The Omega Moonwatch’. In the Apollo 11 mission, Aldrin wore the Omega Speedmaster and stepped foot on the Moon. A lesser known story that proved Omega’s toughness and perfect timekeeping abilities was with the Apollo 13 mission. An on-board explosion caused the loss of power, for three long days, the crew can only drift around the moon and their Omega Moonwatch was the only functioning device on-board.
