Vintage Rolex Daytona Ref.16523 Mother of Pearl Dial with Diamond Markers from 1999.
The 2-tone Cosmograph Daytona in 18k yellow gold and steel make comes with an engraved gold bezel on a 40mm case. This Daytona reference presents a mother of pearl dial with markers formed by diamond on yellow-gold setting. Time is denoted by faceted gold baton hands, and three subsidiary dials for chronograph registers and small continuous seconds. The subsidiary dial, unlike other Daytona references of the same period is simply framed by yellow gold ring, instead of gold chapter rings found on Ref.16520, 16528 etc.
The Reference 16523 is powered by the heavily modified Zenith El-Primero self-winding movement with a reduced VPH to 28,800 instead of the 36,000. It is in great condition, from integrity of the case, bezel and pushers to the 18k yellow gold Oyster bracelet.
