Patek Philippe Ref.1579 Chronograph Double-Signed Haussman & Co. from 1952.
The Reference 1579 is a very limited production from 1943, especially in the case of the rose gold examples. Upon first glance, it may be mistaken for the Reference 130 but it is actually a much bigger version which quickly gained popularity among Patek's Chronograph followers. This Reference presents a silvered dial with applied rose gold faceted square, and Arabic numeral markers within the Tachymeter scale. Further in, the small seconds sit at nine and the thirty-minute counter sits at three. Compared to it's older cousin, the Reference 130, the layout of the dial is clear in the middle, with the Tachymeter scale pushed further out to allow more space for the subsidiary dials. Time is denoted by blued Feuille hands pointing to applied rose gold faceted square and Arabic numeral markers. Powered by the manual-winding Cal. 13-130 in a 36mm rose gold case, this example offers significant presence on the wrist with the faceted fancy, or 'Spider' lugs, which by the way is an allure over the earlier Reference 130 Chronograph of a smaller case diameter by 3mm.
