Vintage Patek Philippe Historical Rare Pocket Watch with Enamel Dial in Silver and Pink Gold from circa 1890-1895

This silver and pink gold (18-carat) pocket watch features a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o'clock. For convenient time-setting, a push-pin (à poussette) is discreetly positioned on the case-band at 11 o'clock, allowing for effortless adjustments.

The meticulously crafted four-piece case is entirely guilloché (engine-turned), creating a mesmerizing pattern that enhances its visual appeal. The silver cuvette (dome) is engraved in taille-douce (fine cut) with the manufacturer's name and serial number, adding a personalized touch. The pink gold hinges, tab, bases of the pendant, and oval-shaped clipped bow contribute to the overall opulence of the design.

Turning the watch over reveals a guilloché (engine-turned) case-back with a plain medallion at its center. The cuvette (dome) is also engraved in taille-douce (fine cut) with the name "Alexandre A. de Plagino," further emphasizing the individuality of this timepiece.

The dial of the pocket watch is a masterpiece in itself, featuring a white enamel background adorned with black painted radiating Roman numerals. The external minute track is elegantly divided into intervals of five, marked with black painted radiating Arabic numerals and lines. A distinctive touch is the red painted internal graduation from 13 to 24, enhancing both functionality and visual appeal. Completing the dial are blued steel "Poire Stuart" pear-shaped hands, adding a dash of color and refinement.

At the heart of this exceptional timepiece lies a caliber 19''', a 17-jewel movement crafted from gilded brass. The movement boasts a going barrel, a straight-line equilibrated lever escapement à moustaches, and a cut bimetallic compensated balance with gold and platinum poising screws. The blued steel flat hairspring and polished steel index-regulator with a long tail contribute to the accuracy and precision of the movement, ensuring that every moment is measured with unparalleled precision.
