Vintage Rare Patek Philippe Ref.716R "Hausmann" Pink on Pink Open Face Pocket Watch in Rose Gold from 1941
The ref. 716 was launched in 1940 and was produced in yellow or in pink gold and in platinum. The 47 mm diameter, 4.3 mm thick 2-piece case (with snapped back) was made by Eggly, Geneva Master casemaker key 23, with a flat arched pendant bow and small winding crown guards, the bow following the curve of the case. Some watches bear the calibre 17 170, those were half-a-mm, up to 4,8 mm thick and were named 716-1.
The dial is engraved-gilt signature, minutes, subsidiary seconds dial, hour-markers and outer minute scale; small gold dots again at the four sides of the subsidiary
seconds dial; painted by transfer black Hausmann & Cie personalisation. Hausmann is one of the oldest Italian retailers, first located in Rome, then Naples and Genoa, and it will soon celebrate the NY boutique fifty years Anniversary.
