The Reference 3525 is a very significant model from Rolex’s elaborated success story. Introduced in 1939, Reference 3525 was produced in yellow gold, rose gold, steel or a combination of yellow gold and steel. Production was limited to a short span of less than ten years and therefore, the number of pieces available in the market are very rare, especially for this example here with combined yellow gold and steel case.

Reference 3525 was significant in that it was the first Chronograph to be housed in an Oyster case wristwatch for Rolex. This also meant that it is the first water-resistant Chronograph to be offered by the Maison. This example is highly valued among collectors with the beautiful patina that formed on the dial. The blue and red scales are sharp and legible.
